Understanding the State: Legal Principles and Administrative Function in Public Governance

The IUS Faculty of Law (FLW) is organizing a public lecture titled "Understanding the State: Legal Principles and Administrative Function in Public Governance." The guest speaker is Assistant Professor Dr. Zahir Çerkini from the Faculty of Law, "Isa Boletini" University, Mitrovica.The lecture will offer an in-depth exploration of the legal and organizational structure of state administration in Kosovo, based on Law No. 06/L-113 on the Organization and Functioning of State Administration and Independent Agencies. It will serve as a case study for understanding key principles of administrative law in practice—particularly within a post-conflict, transitional legal environment.

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Ena Kazić – Çakar, Dean of the IUS Faculty of Law (FLW), organized a visit to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the Criminal Procedure Law II course.

During the visit, FLW students had the opportunity to engage with representatives from the Court’s Legal Department, the Witness Support Office, and the Public Information and Outreach Office.
