On Thursday, December 4, 2025, students of the Faculty of Law (FLW) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), accompanied by Dr. Arben Murtezić, paid an educational visit to Sarajevo City Hall, where they were warmly welcomed by the Mayor of the City of Sarajevo, Mr. Samir Avdić, and his Deputy, Mr. Predrag Puharić.
On Friday, November 28, 2025, first-year students of the IUS Faculty of Law (FLW) visited the Novo Sarajevo Municipality as part of their practical training. During the visit, they were introduced in more detail to the responsibilities and daily operations of the Municipality as a local self-government unit.
As this year marks the thirtieth anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, the IUS Faculty of Law organized a public lecture titled Reflections on the 30th Anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement. The guest lecturer was Prof. Dr. David Pettigrew from Connecticut State University, a member of the Steering Committee of the Yale Genocide Studies Program and a distinguished scholar who has devoted his career to the study and teaching of genocide and transitional justice. The event was organized and moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Assoc. Prof.
On Monday, November 24, 2025, a group of first-year students from the IUS Faculty of Law (FLW), visited the Gender Center of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) as part of the course Introduction to Law I. The students were accompanied by Assistant Prof. Dr. Mirza Ljubović.
On Monday, November 17, 2025, on the occasion of International Students' Day, the Federal Ministry of Education and Science held a formal award ceremony in Mostar to present the “Studiosus ingeniosus Universitatis / Studiosia ingeniosa Universitatis” recognitions to the best students in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, nominated by their respective higher education institutions.
On Thursday, October 30, 2025, the Faculty of Law (FLW) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) hosted the first lecture of this academic year within its Public Lecture Series. The guest speaker was Prof. Dr. Alma Begičević from Loyola University Chicago, who delivered an insightful lecture titled “Transitional Justice and Reparations: A Case Study of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
