11:00      Conference Room (A G.15)
The IUS Faculty of Law (FLW) is pleased to invite you to an engaging event on Geographical Indications: Trends in the European Union and the Situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our distinguished guest speaker, Mr. Harun Lozo, MA, Attorney at Law, will share valuable insights on this important subject.Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, global interest in healthy food and sustainable production has significantly increased. The crisis highlighted the importance of short supply chains, which proved to be the most reliable in challenging times. Additionally, geographical indications play a crucial role in preserving traditional knowledge, skills, and the identity of local communities. Recognizing this, the European Union, through the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), has taken steps to support such products and empower small producers to remain competitive in the market.Join us for this thought-provoking discussion and explore the significance of geographical indications in both the EU and Bosnia and Herzegovina!
