The Faculty of Law at IUS was established in 2015 with the mission to provide legal education of the highest quality to students from undergraduate all the way to doctoral studies consistent with the Bologna educational system practiced here at this university. Our vision is to be one of the leading faculties of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Balkans.

The beauty of legal education at IUS is that we not only teach our students, but we also mentor them. Our goal is to prepare students for their future by equipping them with the requisite professional skill necessary to pass the bar in the jurisdiction they choose to practice or setting the foundation for success in advanced level studies for graduates who choose this career avenue. 

there are two other advantages of studying law here at IUS. These are Ilidža and Sarajevo, in no particular order, since they intersect.  

Surrounded by peaceful mountains, Ilidža boasts with pleasant geographic features. It is adjacent to the Sarajevo International Airport, the Vrelo Bosne spring and it is less than 40minutes away from the Sarajevo city center. This takes us to Sarajevo as the next reason why you should study law here at IUS rather than elsewhere.

With a population of nearly 300,000 residents, Sarajevo is the capital and largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the political, social and cultural center of the country, a prominent center of culture in the Balkans, with its region-wide influence in entertainment, media, fashion, and the arts. Due to its rich history of religious and cultural diversity, Sarajevo is sometimes called the "Jerusalem of Europe". Partly because of the extensive reconstruction it has undergone since the war, Sarajevo is the fastest growing city in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
