This Court is one of various tools the Faculty of Law at IUS uses to put law into practice. Established on July 6, 2018 by Decision No. IUS-FLW-15-1627/18 of the Faculty of Law Council, the Court is a tool designed to build the skills of the law school’s undergraduate and graduate students in oral arguments while affording them the much-needed hands-on experience they will need when they enter the work world, whether in litigation or outside that practice field. By establishing the Court, the Faculty of Law aims to institutionalize, systematize, and routinize its participation in Moot Court competitions at all levels—local, regional, and international—hitherto fitful and sporadic.
