Assistant Professor Dr. Hana Šarkinović-Köse Delivers Lecture on Legal Comparison of Srebrenica and Gaza

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Hana Šarkinović-Köse from the IUS Faculty of Law (FLW) participated in the Human Rights Education Program by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). 

The program brought together 30 participants from 7 European countries. Under the scope of commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, the program is dedicated to shedding light on issues such as genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, islamophobia and racism to the economy of genocide. 

Dr. Šarkinović-Köse spoke about Genocide and Islamophobia: A Legal and Human Rights Perspective on Srebrenica and Gaza, encouraging critical discussion on accountability, justice mechanisms, and prevention.
