IUS Law Students Explore Parliamentary Processes in Visit to FBiH Parliament

On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the Faculty of Law (FLW) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) conducted an educational visit to the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the course LAW118 – Constitutional Law II. The group was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Mirza Ljubović.

The visit was moderated by Ms. Almedina Bulić and began with a welcoming address by Mr. Dragan Mioković, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament. Mr. Mioković warmly greeted the students and delivered an insightful lecture on the structure and functioning of the Parliament, setting the tone for a productive academic exchange. Students also had the opportunity to hear from several distinguished members of the Parliament, including Mr. Nezim Alagić (delegate in the House of Peoples), Ms. Lana Prlić (member of the House of Representatives), Mr. Damir Mašić (Head of the SDP Caucus), and Dr. Sci. Jasmina Biščević-Tokić. These speakers shared their experiences, explained parliamentary procedures, and answered a variety of student questions, fostering an engaging discussion on democratic governance and legislative responsibilities.

The visit concluded with an expression of mutual interest in continued cooperation between the Parliament of FBiH and the IUS Faculty of Law - strengthening the academic experience of students and enhancing institutional ties.
