Dean's Message
With the aim of preparing students to successfully respond to the demands of their profession, the labor market, and the legal challenges of the modern world, the Faculty puts emphasis on both theoretical and practical education of national law and international law, together with insights into comparative law. On the path towards educational excellence, the curricula of both BA and MA study programs are being continuously upgraded in line with the requirements of legal science and society. Classes are taught by national and international legal scholars, accompanied by legal practitioners, who follow and supervise students’ academic growth.
Students have many opportunities to be engaged in extracurricular activities. Faculty of Law is a regular member of Vis Moot Competitions which are a unique opportunity of its kind for students to experience law in practice and improve their argumentation and oral performance skills.
Each year the Faculty organizes Summer School of International Arbitration, an international encounter of students, practitioners, and leading scholastic experts in international arbitration who discuss the most relevant contemporary theoretical and practical topics in the field. In addition, simulations of hearings, visits to relevant institutions, organizations, and attendance to the Faculty of Law Public Lectures Series are activities that are regularly organized as a practical part of education. Academic work and creativity are highly encouraged and realized through the IUS Law Journal, a bi-annual academic publication intended for scholars, practitioners, and students.
We invite all of you who are interested in learning about law, human rights, justice, and how to be the voice of the voiceless, to visit our vibrant IUS Campus, join us, and experience legal education of the 21st century.
