The Faculty of Criminology, Criminalistics and Security Studies organized a two days (October 4-5) conference in Sarajevo, with a symbolic title "Crimen.Forensis.Securitas 2023".

Senior Assistant Hana Šarkinović-Köse Attends GIE Annual Meeting in Council of Europe

The Group of Independent Experts (GIE) on the European Charter of Local Self-Government under the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities held its annual meeting in Strasbourg, France, from September 28 to 29, 2023. Ms. Hana Šarkinović-Köse, Senior Assistant at the IUS Faculty of Law, was appointed as a Full member by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe in May 2023 for a 5-year term.

Successful Completion of Summer School on International Arbitration

IUS Faculty of Law (FLW) successfully completed the third Summer School on International Arbitration, which took place from September 10-16, 2023. Through its 10 modules, the Summer School justified the term “international” by welcoming 11 lecturers from 9 different countries and renowned universities along with students from 7 different countries.

Today, on 13th September, attendees of the Summer School on Arbitration had the chance of participating in two lectures. The first lecture was titled “Investment arbitration (nature and source of law in investment arbitration, differences from commercial arbitration, case studies)” by Prof. Dr Kabir Duggal, Columbia Law School and Fordham Law School.

Today, on 12th September, attendees of SS on Arbitration had the chance of participating in two lectures. The first lecture was titled “A brave new world – technology in international arbitration and online hearings (the legal and practical implications of the increasing use of technology in international arbitration)” by Dr. Alessandra Guida, Queen's University Belfast.
