Students of Faculty of Law of the International University of Sarajevo actively monitor social, political and cultural events in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Visits to various events and institutions are an integral part of teaching-scientific activities, and in the previous period, students and teaching staff were very active.

On April 18th, 2018, students accompanied by senior assistant Dr. Ena Kazic and senior assistant Mirza Ljubović MA, attended the opening of the Book Fair in Skenderija. 

The Norwegian Centre for Human Rights of the Faculty of Law of University of Oslo organized on December 3th, 2016 an conference under title "Transitional Justice and the rule of law in post-conflict settings: Exchange of experiences and lessons learned between international and local experts". Main topic of the conference was rebuilding of the post-conflict societies, in particular experiences from countries of former Yugoslavia. Among other topics, huge importance was dedicated to the role of education in post-conflict settings. In that regard, Assist. Prof. Dr.

In the third of a continuing series of lectures, David Pettigrew, Ph.D. Professor of Philosophy Southern Connecticut State University, gave a lecture titled "The ICTY Verdict in the Case of Vojislav Šešelj: The Legitimization of Hate Speech and the Silencing of the Law and the Truth" at the International University of Sarajevo on November 24, 2016.

On Wednesday, 19th  October  2016, Faculty of Law students attended promotion of the book „Međunarodno humanitarno pravo“ of author Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zarije Seizović, that was held at the Faculty of Political Sciences of University of Sarajevo.

The two-day scientific conference “Europeanization of Croatian private law” was held at the Faculty of Law in Split on 16 and 17. of June 2016. The conference was opened by President of the Croatian Academy of Legal Sciences, prof. dr. Davor Derenčinović and dean of the Faculty of Law in Split prof. dr. Zeljko Radic.

Member of the academic staff of Faculty of Law, Assist. Prof. Dr Goran Šimić held a lecture titled „Transitional Justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Dealing with Human Rights Abuses and Social Reconstruction in the Wake of Widespread Violence"at the Faculty of Law of Bochum Ruhr University in Germany on 23rd May 2016.

Professor Šimić was invited to deliver his lecture by Prof. dr Sabine Swoboda of the Department of Criminal and International Criminal Law, which was the organizer of this event.

On Wednesday, May 25, 2016, legal professionals from the judiciary field and other different forms of legal representation from Republic of Turkey visited International University of Sarajevo. Respected guests were welcomed by IUS rectory, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu. On this occasion, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nudžejma Obralić introduced attendees with the education quality and programs on the University.

Due to their profession, visitors devoted special attention to the newly opened Faculty of Law. They visited Faculty of Law as well as get familiar with its work.

Law Faculty students of the International University of Sarajevo in the course "History of law in the Balkans" on Thursday, 19 May 2016 visited the National Museum. The National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo is the oldest museum in Bosnia and Herzegovina, established in 1888, during the Austro-Hungarian rule. It is interesting that this is the only museum building in Southeast Europe, which is built for this purpose.

On Friday, 20th of May, 2016, Prof. Dr. Hasan Fehim Üçışık from Doğuş University visited Faculty of Law at International University of Sarajevo (IUS). With this opportunity, Professor gave a lecture in Faculty of Law Department.
