On Thursday, February 28, 2019, Center for Human Rights and Transitional Justice belonging to the IUS Faculty of Law organized the launch of the book “The Crisis of EU and the Future of EU Integrations”. The speakers on the launch were: Assist. Prof. Dr. Kenan Ademović, the author, and Prof. Dr. Philip C. Aka, Dean of Faculty of Law. The author, Dr. Ademović, has spoken in his book about a major phenomenon that happened in the “old continent” in the recent period of time — the Brexit.

“First International Congress of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy” was organized in Sarajevo from October 18 – 21, 2018, by UNICEF and Bosnian and Herzegovinian Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Association. More than 400 researchers and experts in practice took part in this interdisciplinary gathering, as well as Dr. Sc. Ena Kazić, assistant professor at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) Faculty of Law.

On July 25-28, 2018, Faculty of Law students Emir Ahmethodžić and Medisa Fočić, together with their mentor Assist. Prof. Dr. Goran Šimić, took part in Nuremberg Moot Court Competiton 2018 and represented BiH and IUS among 54 other universities all around the globe.

This international moot court competition was organized by the International Nuremberg Principles Academy and the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany, which since 2015 gathers experts in international criminal law, judges, attorneys, students and their professors all around the world.

10th International Conference on Restorative Justice named „Expanding the restorative imagination Restorative justice between realities and visions in Europe and beyond” was held on 14-16th June 2018 in Tirana, Albania. It hosted more than 300 experts on restorative (and criminal) justice, from 47 different countries. Dr. sci. Ena Kazić, from Faculty of Law, attended this conference and presented her paper „Applicability of Restorative Justice in Cases of Sexual Violence“.

Organized by the Association for Corporate Security, Skopje (Macedonia), the 4th International Scientific and Expert Conference "Integrated Corporate Security - Digital Transformation Challenges for the Academic Community and Modern Corporations" was held on May 19, 2018. On May 22, 2018, students of the Faculty of Law at the International University of Sarajevo visited the Central Election Commission of BiH with the escort of a senior ass. Mirza Ljubovic, M.A. and senior ass. Dr. Ena Kazic. The students were greeted and welcomed by CIK staff led by the CIK President Dr. Irena Hadžiabdić and on that occasion a lecture and presentation on the topic "Elections: Legislation, Process, Institutions" was organized for our students.

On Thursday, May 10th, 2018 Students of the Faculty of Law at the International University of Sarajevo visited the place where the genocide took place in the Srebrenica area in 1995, for which seven people so far, have been convicted before the Hague Tribunal. Prof. Dr. Dževad Mahmutović from the Faculty of Law, accompanied by Senior Assistant Mirza Ljubović, M.A., organized an extremely important tour of the place of the greatest and most horrible suffering of Bosniaks in European modern history since the Second World War.

On May 10th and 11th, 2018, an international symposium titled "From yesterday to today Bosnia and Herzegovina and Alija Izetbegovic"  was held in Istanbul, organized by the municipality of Gaziosmanpasa, Foundation of Fatih Sultan Mehmet University, and Foundation of friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Symposium discussed the life and work of Alija Izetbegović, the history, art and culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Bosnia and Herzegovina in international environment.

Students of Faculty of Law of the International University of Sarajevo actively monitor social, political and cultural events in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Visits to various events and institutions are an integral part of teaching-scientific activities, and in the previous period, students and teaching staff were very active.

On April 18th, 2018, students accompanied by senior assistant Dr. Ena Kazic and senior assistant Mirza Ljubović MA, attended the opening of the Book Fair in Skenderija.
