Consumer Protection in the United States of America
The IUS Faculty of Law (FLW) is hosting a lecture on consumer protection in the United States, with Dr. Dario Džananović from the Illinois Appellate Court in Chicago as the guest speaker.
Dr. Džananović will explore the mechanisms of collective redress available in both the U.S. and Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting the contrast between their theoretical frameworks and practical applications. In the U.S., class action litigation plays a pivotal role in enforcing federal consumer protection laws, while in Bosnia and Herzegovina, such mechanisms remain largely unused.
The lecture will shed light on actionable insights for improving the Bosnian context, offering valuable perspectives for legal professionals, policymakers, and students alike.
