Marking 30 Years of Dayton: FLW at International Legal Conference in Istanbul

Assistant Professor Dr. Mirza Ljubović and Assistant Professor Dr. Harun Halilović from the IUS Faculty of Law (FLW) recently represented the International University of Sarajevo at the international conference “The Dayton Agreement at 30: Legal Reflections, Politics of Fragmentation, and the Future of Peacebuilding,” held on November 27–28, 2025 at Istanbul University.

The conference brought together leading scholars and practitioners from the region and beyond to explore the contemporary challenges surrounding the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement, examine ongoing legal and political developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and discuss perspectives for building a more sustainable peace. Through their participation, IUS faculty actively contributed to high-level academic dialogue addressing one of the most significant legal and political frameworks in the country’s modern history.

The event was co-organized by the Balkan Studies Foundation, WOLAS, Istanbul University, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), and the Institute for History UNSA. We extend our sincere congratulations to the hosts and partner institutions for the successful organization of this impactful academic gathering, which provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and international cooperation.
