Learning Local Governance: FLW Students at Sarajevo City Hall

On Thursday, December 4, 2025, students of the Faculty of Law (FLW) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), accompanied by Dr. Arben Murtezić, paid an educational visit to Sarajevo City Hall, where they were warmly welcomed by the Mayor of the City of Sarajevo, Mr. Samir Avdić, and his Deputy, Mr. Predrag Puharić.

During the meeting, the students were introduced to the work of the City administration through an insightful presentation delivered by Deputy Mayor Puharić. The presentation focused on the key responsibilities of local government, the strategic development priorities of Sarajevo, and ongoing initiatives aimed at improving the investment climate and sustainable growth of the capital.

The visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to connect theoretical legal knowledge with practical governance insights, offering a clearer understanding of how public administration operates and how legal frameworks contribute to city development and policy implementation.
