IUS Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with the Labor and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina
On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Labor and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, establishing a framework for stronger institutional collaboration and the implementation of joint initiatives.
The memorandum was signed by IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı and the Agency’s Director, Mr. Ivan Barbalić. The meeting was also attended by the Agency’s Deputy Director, Ms. Suzana Radinković, Assistant to the Director, Mr. Neven Akšamija, and the Dean of the IUS Faculty of Law (FLW), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ena Kazić-Çakar.
The memorandum lays the groundwork for academic, educational, and professional cooperation, with a focus on developing activities that benefit both institutions and create new opportunities for students and staff. Through this partnership, IUS and the Agency aim to strengthen inter-institutional ties, exchange expertise, and support programs that connect education with professional practice.
Key areas of cooperation include:
- Joint projects and initiatives, including participation in domestic and international programs and funding opportunities
- Exchange of professional and academic knowledge, experience, and relevant information
- Co-organization of conferences, seminars, workshops, courses, summer schools, and similar activities
- Student training and internship opportunities at the Agency to support professional development and practical competencies
- Collaboration in research and applied activities of shared interest, including the implementation of educational and training programs
By formalizing this cooperation, IUS and the Labor and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina reaffirm their commitment to building meaningful partnerships that support innovation, continuous learning, and stronger links between academia and the professional sector.
