IUS FLW Launches Landmark Book on Legal Aspects of the Medical Profession in BiH

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, the Faculty of Law (FLW) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) hosted the launch of the book “Legal Aspects of the Medical Profession in Bosnia and Herzegovina”. The book is authored by IUS FLW professors: Dr. Sci. Harun Halilović, Dr. Sci. Ena Kazić-Çakar, Dr. Sci. Mirza Ljubović, Dr. Sci. Hana Šarkinović-Köse, and Dr. Sci. Kenan Ademović.

In addition to the authors, the event featured distinguished speakers and promoters: Dr. Sci. Emir Sudžuka and Dr. Sci. Haris Silajdžić, as well as Prof. Dr. Zelija Velija Ašimi, representing the Association of Endocrinologists and Diabetologists in Bosnia and Herzegovina (ENDO BH). The program was moderated by Ms. Salora Turkmanović.

Speakers highlighted the book’s significance as the first comprehensive publication on medical law in Bosnia and Herzegovina, offering an in-depth look into the legal regulation of the medical profession. They expressed their hope that this pioneering effort will serve as a foundation for future research in the field.
