IUS Faculty of Law took part in the academic-cultural exchange with Balıkesir University in Türkiye
A group of the most prominent students and an Assistant of the IUS Faculty of Law took part in the academic-cultural exchange with Balıkesir University in Türkiye. The exchange provided students with the opportunity not only to explore the academic environment of the University and its Faculty of Law, but also to experience intercultural exchange.
During their stay, the students attended different lectures each working day, delivered by professors from the Faculty of Law at Balıkesir University. These sessions provided valuable insights into the functioning of the legal system of the Republic of Türkiye, covering areas such as Commercial Law, Company Law, Civil Law, and Constitutional Law.
In addition to legal lectures, students visited the university's Technology Center (Balıkesir Üniversitesi Teknoloji Transfer Ofisi), where they were introduced to various innovative technologies. They also had the opportunity to explore the university’s art gallery, which features creative works by its talented students.
By staying at the campus of Balıkesir University, our students were able to experience the vibrant and welcoming student life the university has to offer.
Casual daily trips to the city center of Balıkesir enriched the overall experience, allowing them to enjoy local cafés, shops, and the everyday rhythm of life in the town. A one-day excursion to the coastal town of Ayvalık and the nearby island of Cunda was also organized, giving students not only to enjoy the beautiful scenery and relax by the sea but also to learn more about the rich history and broader cultural heritage of Türkiye.
Our students visited the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Law and toured both the Faculty and the Rectorate of the University, where they were received in a gracious and warm manner.
They were also given the honor of attending the graduation ceremony of the first generation of law graduates from Balıkesir University, held on the 2nd of May 2025!
