Faculty of Law Students Visit to The Transitional Justice Memorialization Sites in Sarajevo
On Monday, November 23, 2021 within the course Transitional Justice and company of Assistant Professor dr. sci. Ena Kazić-Çakar, senior students of Faculty of Law visited memorialization sites in Sarajevo. The research tour started with the visit to the Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they were able to visit three exhibitions: Sarajevo under Siege, Pazi snajper, and Wake up Europe. They continued their tour by visiting the Memorial of the murdered children of the besieged city, the Memorial of the victims of the massacre in Ferhadija Street, and the Memorial of victims of the Markale massacre. At the end of their tour, they were introduced to the concept of Sarajevo roses, as a very particular approach to memorialization of victimization. The aim of this class was to enable students to better understand the theoretical concept through this practical approach.
