Faculty of Law participates in Initiative to mark World Election Day Sarajevo
Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina held an interactive lecture for students in its Education Center on the topic "Elections: legislation, process and institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina". At the conference of the Association of Electoral Officials of Europe (ACEEEO) held in 2005, more than 20 member countries agreed to launch an initiative to establish the first Thursday in February as a day, which would represent the trademark of democratic elections throughout the world, that is, as World Election day. The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been promoting the initiative for the eighteenth year. On this occasion, representatives of the Association of Election Officials in BiH, members of certain municipal election commissions, NGOs and universities attended the conference. The opening speech was delivered by dr. Irena Hadžiabdić, President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the lecture was held by dr. Suad Arnautović, Member of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A common message was sent that it is necessary to continuously work on improving the electoral legislation and the electoral process. We thank the Commission for their kind invitation and hospitality.
