Book Launch: “The Crisis of EU and the Future of EU Integrations”

On Thursday, February 28, 2019, Center for Human Rights and Transitional Justice belonging to the IUS Faculty of Law organized the launch of the book “The Crisis of EU and the Future of EU Integrations”. The speakers on the launch were: Assist. Prof. Dr. Kenan Ademović, the author, and Prof. Dr. Philip C. Aka, Dean of Faculty of Law. The author, Dr. Ademović, has spoken in his book about a major phenomenon that happened in the “old continent” in the recent period of time — the Brexit. The author of this book which deals with a very hot topic takes us to the journey through the comprehensive history of British foreign policy related to Brexit, and brings us a lot of data about the course of this process starting from the referendum held in June 2016. For the first time in its 60-year long history, since The Treaty of Rome that brought about the creation of the European Economic Community, the European bloc has faced a situation in which one of the former members wants the exit. The author has concluded that Great Britain with its Brexit narrative has led entire Europe to a crossroad, where the roads lead towards disintegration or the further integration and strengthening of the EU and its institutions.
