Course Objectives This course will cover some of the most fundamental aspects of architectural history in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The objective of the unit is to understand importance of traditional and historical architecture of some region, in this case in Bosnia and Herzegovina with an emphasis on interrelationships between new building and existing environment, including esthetical and functional performance.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the history and development of architecture in the Bosnian traditions.
  2. Identify the major theoretical and practical events of Bosnian traditional and modern architecture.
  3. Develop an ability to critically assess the appropriateness of the design of the new in the existing context.
  4. Apply skills for reinterpretation of tradition, they will understand importance of previous in architecture.
