Course Objectives 1. Development and demonstration of essential graphic communication skills;
2. Integrate the principles of sketching, 2D orthographic projection and perspective drawings, written and verbal communication within the design process and communication; and
3. Introduce students to simple model-making principles.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Identify principles and elements of design
  2. Create drawings to graphically analyse and interpret objects, buildings and design processes
  3. Apply freehand sketching skills to represent design ideas
  4. Build simple models
Teaching Methods Lecturing and in class discussions. Active tutorial sessions for engaged learning and continuous feedback on progress. Individual and team assigments. Projects that involve sketching, drawing and model making.
