IUS Faculty Members Appointed to HEA List of Experts

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) proudly announces that several of its esteemed academic staff members have been included in the List of Experts of the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HEA).

The Committee for the Appointment of National and International Experts of HEA has expanded the existing List of Experts who assess, conduct audits, and provide recommendations for the accreditation of higher education institutions and study programs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The appointed IUS experts are:

  • Associate Professor Dr. Tarik Namas, Vice-Rector for Academic Activities and Students' Affairs
  • Associate Professor Dr. Emil Knezović, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA)
  • Associate Professor Dr. Ena Kazić-Çakar, Dean of the Faculty of Law (FLW)
  • Assistant Professor Dr. Mirza Ljubović, FLW Program Coordinator
  • Adjunct Instructor Deniz Durmuş, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering (FENS)

These new roles underline the IUS’ mission and vision in continuous development and maintenance of quality education because a fundamental and mandatory part of a professor’s professional development is their continuous professional training. This involves changing and upgrading oneself and one's work in accordance with personal needs, the needs of science and the profession, as well as with changes and demands in the society, all aimed at achieving specific goals and attaining the most efficient results in their work.

Professional training is a complex process that begins with initial education, continues through practice, and extends throughout their career, both within and outside the higher education institution, as professors at IUS refine their work, expand their roles, and thereby achieve better outcomes in their work.

IUS extends its heartfelt congratulations to the appointed academic staff members on their significant new roles.
