Hands-On Legal Training: IUS FLW Students Simulate Criminal Trial

Senior Faculty of Law (FLW) students at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), under the mentorship of Professor Dr. Ena Kazić Çakar, conducted a simulation of a main trial in criminal proceedings as part of their Criminal Procedure Law II course. The students meticulously created an imaginary case, prepared all the necessary documents, and performed the roles involved in a criminal procedure. This hands-on exercise provided an invaluable opportunity for them to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, honing their skills and understanding of the criminal justice process. What a remarkable conclusion to the course!

This year's simulation was particularly special as it was the first to be held in the newly opened IUS FLW Courtroom. Designed specifically for FLW students, this state-of-the-art facility aims to better prepare them for the practical aspects of their future profession. The realistic environment of the courtroom allowed the students to experience the dynamics of a trial, enhancing their legal education and ensuring they are well-equipped for their careers in law. This initiative underscores IUS's commitment to providing its students with comprehensive, experiential learning opportunities that bridge the gap between academia and professional practice.
